My family and I went to Grand Cayman Island on Carnival Cruise Lines in the summer of 2005 and fell in love with it!
When we decided to take the cruise, I started to look around for activities to do once we got to Grand Cayman. There were so many things to choose from but we only had time for 1. So, after looking at all of the options, we decided on Sting Ray City. It was a great choice!
The cruise was great fun, the only drawback was that we didn't have as long as I would have liked on Grand Cayman. I would very much like to fly there some time and spend several days seeing the sights. Now that I've been there, I know that it is a place that I would like to return to again and again.
The hardest part of the trip was researching so many resources to plan our activities, it was very time consuming. I thought it would be nice if there was 1 website that had all the information in one place. Since I couldn't find one, I thought I would create my own in hopes of making it easier for others to find information. I hope you find my research helpful.
Taxi rates on Grand Cayman are fixed per vehicle or per person by the government. The rates are available from the any taxi dispatcher in front of Owen Roberts International Airport. The rates are also posted at the cruise ship dock in George Town. To get from the airport to Seven Mile Beach takes about 10 minutes and costs about $4 per person each way.
